Software Test Engineer with Security Clearance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance best practices. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our software applications. As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve software quality and streamline testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test strategies and plans for software applications.
Implement and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios to identify software defects.
Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Work closely with development teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
Conduct root cause analysis and provide insights to improve product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior test engineers to enhance team capabilities.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve test methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of security testing principles and tools.
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with applications which use NoSQL (i.e., MongoDb, Elasticsearch), advanced key store (i.e., REDIS), and/or relational (i.e., Oracle, MySQL) databases.
Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
