We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to support the 45th Test Squadron - Space and Intel Flight at Eglin AFB. In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge testing for the Strategic Mission Planning and Assessment System (SMPES) and the Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS)-key systems supporting national security.

• Lead software testing efforts for SMPES (nuclear mission planning) and ATLAS (space event management).

• Conduct data analysis and provide engineering expertise in test and evaluation, system security, and technical studies.

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports throughout the software development life cycle.

• Support test phases, including Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test (OT), and Risk Reduction Testing (RRT).

• Collaborate with System Program Offices, contractors, and military stakeholders to define test objectives and ensure mission success.

• Travel up to 30% to contractor sites and test locations (CONUS & OCONUS). Required Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least three (3) years of technical experience (additional experience may be considered in place of education).

• Experience in software testing, intelligence, space command and control operations, or service-oriented architecture.

• Familiarity with ATLAS, Advanced Battle Management System, Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, UEWR, PARCS, Cobra Dane, CCIC2S, or SSA missions.

• Ability to collaborate with prime contractors to define test objectives, schedules, budgets, and testing methods. Desired Qualifications / Skills:

• Experience with MATLAB, Fortran, Java, Python, or C/C .

• Knowledge of C4ISR, Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation, and space domain awareness.

• Experience collaborating with DoD contractors on test planning and execution.
