Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to collaborate with Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering teams in bringing next-generation wireless audio intercom communication systems to market. This role involves the design verification and validation testing of new products prior to their market release, encompassing the development of test plans, procedures, test automation, and performing validation testing on software and systems.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute verification test plans, test cases, and test procedures from system and software level requirements, and write reports on test results.
- Develop both manual and computer-scripted test procedures and manage software and electrical test fixtures.
- Perform integration, software application, and component-level testing with the ability to troubleshoot and triage failures at the system level.
- Lead verification activities and be responsible for project-level verification deliverables.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in embedded software, Linux, C/C , software development, and microcontroller.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and validation verification software tests.
- Experience in writing test cases and Python scripting.
- Knowledge of firmware, Python programming, i2c, Ethernet, application software, and GUI development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS).
- Experience in writing software or systems requirements.
- Capability to create, write, and execute verification test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience in leading verification activities.
- Familiarity with working in medical and defense spaces with high regulatory standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) and C/C is advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment is centered around high technology audio systems, offering a collaborative space to work cross-functionally with a systems skill set. The role requires writing unit tests inside firmware using Python or C/C . Working at the application level on RF is considered a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
