Job Description
Location: This position will be onsite at our corporate offices in Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area).

Not a remote position.

Full-time W-2 ONSITE opportunity (not remote).

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without requiring work visa sponsorship.

We are seeking an experienced Software System Analyst with 7+ years of professional experience, specifically focused on creating detailed technical requirements /user stories for custom Java/JEE/Spring software for the cloud systems using agile requirements standards. The role requires inputs from Product Marketing, Sales and other business units and translates them into technical requirements that the technical team can develop. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical software background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software requirements.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Engineering:
  • Translate high level product requirements from MRD and PRD into technical requirements/user stories for the development teams to develop software
  • Develop user stories for UI, API, database, and other software systems and applications with input from product owner and development leads
  • Interface and participate in initial customer technical discussions to better evaluate project scope and tasks
  • Work with project manager/program office to keep all user stories, developer tasks updated and current based on the project changes and modifications for every sprint
  • Work with firmware teams to create requirements for software systems and applications
  • Work with an infrastructure team to create requirements for AWS Cloud
  • Work with vendors to help resolve bugs, issues, and technical debt
Software Support and Maintenance:
  • Collaborate with software developers, FW, QA, and infrastructure teams to help trouble shoot specific issues/bugs for software applications
  • Work with IT Support, vendors and various business teams to manage bug fix support by triaging, assessing for probable causes and impact
  • Provide support to software engineers by sharing necessary application domain knowledge that will help them fix the bugs promptly.
Project Management Support:
  • Work with Product and business groups to correctly assess and prioritize bugs, by educating them of the level of impact and complexity involved.
  • Works with development leads and product owner to identify workload for the team up to 2 months in advance
Requirements
  • Ability to write SQL queries to do data analysis for business problems to draw insights
  • Working knowledge of APIs, ability to write basic clients to APIs to test and instrument them for performance
  • Ability to create business process workflows for the end users
  • Work on JIRA Atlassian board to create user stories, epic, initiatives etc.
  • Experience using scripts and scripting languages e.g. python, yaml, etc.
  • Familiarity with writing requirements for Cloud monitoring, metrics and analytics i.e. dashboards using Grafana or similar tools
  • Excellent communication skills both vertically and horizontally within the organization related to all aspects of technical leadership - written and verbal
