The Information Technology Associate (ITA) functions as an independent technical specialist, overseeing applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform and providing tier-one support to both external and internal users. Operating within the Software Engineering Domain, the ITA plays a vital role in maintaining production applications, troubleshooting software issues, and supporting development efforts on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 low-code/no-code platform, along with other software frameworks.
This position involves ongoing support for production software applications and requires regular engagement with managers, technical staff, and system users to analyze problems and identify efficient solutions. The ITA is responsible for troubleshooting software defects based on feedback received through the application help desk ticketing system and internal staff evaluations.
Clear and effective communication is essential, as the ITA interacts with customers, co-workers, and management through discussions, meetings, and documentation. Coordinating and participating in application walkthroughs is a key part of the role, ensuring that technical processes are understood and optimized. Acting as the primary point of contact for first-level help desk support, the ITA serves as a technical specialist in problem-solving and best practices for software applications.
Beyond technical support, the ITA provides recommendations that enhance application usage and efficiency, contributing to CDPH's strategic planning and goals. By maintaining a proactive approach to troubleshooting and system improvements, this role ensures that applications remain effective, responsive, and aligned with organizational needs.
