JOB DESCRIPTION: Brockwell Technologies, Inc. (BTI) is seeking a first shift Full Time
Software Release Manager to support our customer in Huntsville, AL. Note this position is currently a hybrid telework position. At this time one day is required on-site if you live within a 50-Mile Radius of Redstone Arsenal, AL; however, full-remote telework is approved for this position.
We are seeking an experienced Software Release Manager to manage and evolve our Atlassian tool suite and Software Engineering Process (SEP). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in administration, support, and customization of the Atlassian tools. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work across teams and effectively support end users.
Responsibilities - Monitor, update, and ensure adherence to the organization's SEP.
- Administer and support Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd.
- Configure and maintain Atlassian tools to meet business needs and follow established standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Atlassian tools with other systems.
- Manage permissions and access control for tools and projects.
- Develop and maintain training materials for tool users and provide training as needed.
- Stay abreast of the latest Atlassian tools and technologies.
- Develop best practices for administering Jira effectively over the long term.
- Provide close daily support to end users.
- Give constructive feedback to team members and set clear expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Lead implementations to ensure requested design/technologies meet requirements.
- Manage and audit code repository access and privileges
- Use custom tools and Bamboo to deploy updated code to Oracle and other databases.
- Guide deployments through development, test, and production tiers.
- Ensure code compliance by managing Fortify access, privileges, and processes
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications listed below:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Active Secret Clearance / Or Ability to Obtain
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of administering Atlassian tools in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in administration and support activities of Atlassian Suite.
- Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components.
- Strong expertise in creating Jira dashboards, queries, and reports.
- Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting.
- Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with scrum masters, project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet requirements.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and self-managed.
Desired Qualifications - Certification such as Jira Administration for Datacenters is a plus.
- Agile project management experience.
- Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows in Jira.
- Experience working with DevOps and Agile processes and transforming them into Jira workflows.
- Experience in building training programs and conducting training for other team members in Atlassian tools.
Minimum Experience - 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree OR
- 7 years of experience with an Associate's Degree
