Job Description:
We are looking for a Level 2 Software QA Engineer with substantial hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge in quality assurance and automation. The right candidate will be well-versed in tools and technologies like Selenium, Python, and Java, with a comprehensive grasp of automated testing across UI, API, and databases. You will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to guarantee the stability and performance of our software solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Build, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts targeting user interfaces, APIs, and databases.
• Partner closely with QA peers, developers, and business stakeholders to capture test requirements and deliver automated solutions.
• Embed automated testing into the CI/CD lifecycle, contributing to smoother DevOps workflows.
• Perform code reviews of automated test scripts, promoting quality and adherence to best practices.
• Keep up with the latest QA tools and automation methodologies, and integrate improvements where applicable.
• Work with system and infrastructure teams to ensure automation environments are secure, reliable, and efficient.
• Document automation workflows, standards, execution logs, and test results for transparency and future reference.
• Regulatory, Security, and Risk Compliance Duties:
• Ensure all applications align with compliance standards, including SOX, PCI-DSS, and internal security guidelines.
• Coordinate with security teams to identify and resolve any vulnerabilities in application architecture.
• Maintain detailed test records, including structured test plans, case documentation, and data handling strategies.
• Establish and follow traceability protocols that connect requirements to test coverage and defect management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5 to 8 years of demonstrable QA experience with a strong emphasis on test automation.
• Advanced proficiency with Selenium, Python, and Java.
• Practical experience in designing and integrating test automation into CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Pytest and JUnit.
• Expertise in automated API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent tools.
• Experience in automating database tests and writing queries.
• Solid understanding of the complete software development and testing lifecycle (SDLC & STLC).
• Competent with Git or other version control systems, and experienced in Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities, with a meticulous approach to quality.
Preferred Experience:
• 5-8 years in building automated tests across UI layers, APIs, and backend systems.
• Demonstrated skill in writing resilient and scalable UI test scripts using Selenium combined with Python and/or Java.
• Familiarity with cross-browser testing, including Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
• Working experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD management platforms.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, including architects, business analysts, and QA leadership.
