Introduction:

As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer within the System Integration Testing (SIT) Team, you will be tasked with testing the integration between systems. The position requires basic knowledge of QA practices and paradigms, such as different testing methodologies, test planning and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the person should have foundational technical ability such as: networking fundamentals, coding basics, application programming interfaces (APIs) and database knowledge.

Work with Product Owners/management to review user stories and develop robust acceptance criteria that includes alternate, positive, and negative test scenarios following and support
Create Test Plans, Test Cycles and Test Scenarios with Product Owners and Engineering Leads.
Write requirements in BDD format
Automate tests using tools such as Typescript, Playwright, Jmeter and Cucumber.
Analyze issues found during testing and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
Track, report and verify software defects to ensure the resolution of issues found.
Participate in SAFe and Scrum ceremonies, including Planning, Refinement, Dailys and Demos.
Troubleshoot using log files, scripts, manual tests, etc.
Innovate within the QA space

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in CS/ME/EE preferred OR 1-3 years of technical QA experience .

• Experience working as part of an agile development team (Scrum, Pi) doing in-sprint test design, execution and some automation.

• Experience working closely with product owners or BAs writing user story acceptance criteria.

• Experience using Jira and Zephyr Scale

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

• Experience reporting test metrics and status.

• Experience writing test scenarios in Gherkin syntax.

• Can demonstrate proficiently writing in one or more programming languages.

• Able to work in an efficient and timely manner.

• Technically astute with interest in acquiring knowledge through experience.

• Knowledge of Point-of-Sales and Payment is a plus.
