Title: Software Infrastructure Engineer II Position Summary: Responsible for the design, development, document, and test of computer software applications and software system services on SONAR signal processing system. Interfaces with cross functional teams to develop software solutions for system applications, operating systems, hardware drivers, and system services. Duties and Responsibilities: The Software Engineer is responsible for performing tasks as directed which include the following but are not limited to these tasks: Develop or modify software application designs based on customer specifications and user requirements.
Maintain and support existing software baselines and system services.
Implement, integrate, and document software systems, subsystems, and services.
Support software testing, installation, and integration activities.
Demonstrate ability to complete a technical project independently and as part of a team.
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with engineering, program management and the customer as required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience
5+ years' experience with Linux and Windows systems and services administration
Selection and evaluation of third-party software tools for compatibility with RHEL and Windows operating systems
Application of operating system driver updates and patches to support new hardware
Implementation of Linux and Windows system security policies/standards/practices (e.g., security access control policies including familiarity with SELinux, system audit and log file monitoring, etc.)
Hardening of operating system images via DISA guidance and application of DISA STIGs
Network architecture, design, implementation and configuration using Cisco technologies.
Establishing and configuring build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
Using DevOps tools and processes such as Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk
Familiarity with open-source virtualization and container tools and products
Scripting and coding using Ansible, Python, PowerShell and Bash
Familiarity with Static Code Analysis tools
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance.
