Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Software Implementation Project Lead to spearhead our software implementation projects in a long-term IT initiative. This role involves collaborating closely with the Program Management Office, Business Analysts, and internal IT teams to ensure high-quality deliverables are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning: Develop a comprehensive plan to meticulously track the progress of project deliverables.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among all stakeholders, team members, and relevant parties to keep everyone informed and aligned.
  • Coordination: Ensure smooth coordination by scheduling meetings, booking rooms, and confirming participant availability to meet project objectives.
  • Time Management: Facilitate meetings to ensure daily goals are achieved efficiently.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively track and report risks and issues to the Polaris PMO for effective mitigation and resolution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Take and distribute meeting notes along with action items, and provide regular status reports.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT software implementation.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive experience managing, executing, controlling, and successfully completing complex IT software projects.
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Software, particularly John Galt, Atlas, and Aspentech, is a significant advantage.
Other Requirements:

This role requires travel for up to 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) within the US, predominantly based in Jackson, MS, with visits to various other locations as necessary.
