Our FinTech client seeks an exceptional Software Engineering Manager, to own their Data Pipeline team. You will lead a team that builds the services enabling data to flow flawlessly from a multitude of digital and traditional financial venues and platforms.

Ideally, this person will work in a hybrid capacity, accessible to work onsite 1-2 days a week in an office in NYC, Chicago, Greenwich CT, or Palo Alto CA. Remote is a potential for someone exceptional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with passion and drive: recruit, mentor, and grow an engineering team, ensuring seamless integration of data from diverse financial platforms.
  • Revolutionize how we identify and resolve issues: Lead the team in monitoring the data collection processes, intervene when bugs occur; and coach the team to embrace automation.
  • Establish clear project roadmaps: Collaborate actively with stakeholders-balancing strategic vision and meticulous attention to detail for every project.
  • Guarantee excellence: Uphold an uncompromising standard of technical excellence, quality processes, and operational efficiency. You'll also manage PR reviews with respect to SLA/SLO.
  • Nurture your team: Enhance the communication, performance, and skills within your team.
  • Hands-on commitment: Here, everyone dives into the code at times-even our CTO.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Seasoned Expert: You have 8+ years of software development experience in Python or a relevant language and 2+ years of managerial experience in software engineering.
  • Cloud specialist: You're comfortable deploying code to the AWS cloud and its ecosystem.
  • Data authority: An unwavering grasp of data structures, Data Integration, algorithms, REST APIs, and FIX protocol.
  • Strong communicator and leader: Proven ability to lead and foster quality code and process development, with excellent stakeholder communication.
  • Capital Markets: Experience with high-growth financial firms, trading technology, and digital assets, coupled with a solid understanding of data governance within trading
