Job Title: Software Engineering Manager


Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP systems, EPICOR is the ERP, and a solid background in hands on Applications Development and Application Modernization Project Management.
  • This role involves overseeing a small team for the modernization of legacy ASP applications, so experience with application conversion and modernization is necessary.
  • The position is based in the Beamont, Texas, with the occasional need to travel to other company offices in Southeast Texas

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the company's enterprise applications, with a primary focus on the EPICOR ERP system.
  • Lead the conversion of legacy ASP applications to modern technologies.
  • Develop and implement project plans for application upgrades and migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to enterprise applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise applications modernization (e.g., ASP to modern platforms).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with SQL programming.
  • Proficient in ASP.NET, C , VB.NET, JScript, JavaScript
  • Expert knowledge of GIT version control.
  • Experience with ERP systems; prior experience with EPICOR is a plus but not required.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to company offices in the Southeast Houston area and surrounding regions as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications in project management or ERP systems

Additional Information:

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried position
  • Location: Beaumont, Texas 77701
  • Office: Onsite required 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) at Beaumont or a satellite office; remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel to satellite offices such as LaPorte and Baytown.
