Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP systems, EPICOR is the ERP, and a solid background in hands on Applications Development and Application Modernization Project Management.
- This role involves overseeing a small team for the modernization of legacy ASP applications, so experience with application conversion and modernization is necessary.
- The position is based in the Beamont, Texas, with the occasional need to travel to other company offices in Southeast Texas
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the company's enterprise applications, with a primary focus on the EPICOR ERP system.
- Lead the conversion of legacy ASP applications to modern technologies.
- Develop and implement project plans for application upgrades and migrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful delivery.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to enterprise applications.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in enterprise applications modernization (e.g., ASP to modern platforms).
- Advanced hands-on experience with SQL programming.
- Proficient in ASP.NET, C , VB.NET, JScript, JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of GIT version control.
- Experience with ERP systems; prior experience with EPICOR is a plus but not required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to company offices in the Southeast Houston area and surrounding regions as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certifications in project management or ERP systems
Additional Information:
- Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried position
- Location: Beaumont, Texas 77701
- Office: Onsite required 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) at Beaumont or a satellite office; remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
- Travel: Up to 20% travel to satellite offices such as LaPorte and Baytown.
