As a Senior Software Engineer SME you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Senior Software Engineer SME joining our team to support our Federal Customer in the National Capitol Region. The Software Engineer SME shall serve as a Technical Expert. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Support multiple mission-critical systems across various business domains, working closely with stakeholders to ensure system performance, usability, and alignment with agency goals.
- Provide mentorship, lead troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to architecture decisions. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED: Active Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications
10+ years of Software Engineer experience.
5-7+ years of experience developing applications in complex, enterprise environments, with significant experience specifically with Oracle APEX applications
Effective communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
-Ability to work across multiple projects and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with Agile environments
-Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, user-friendly, and secure applications
Strong knowledge of Oracle database including performance tuning and troubleshooting
Experience with RESTful Web Services, SSO, and security best practices
Deep expertise in Oracle APEX 20.x or higher (ideally with a few versions of the current release), PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
