Essential Job Duties
  • Hands-on technical position; design and implement frontend solutions.
  • Achieve business goals while leading by example as a hands-on engineer who also has a passion for leading a development team.
  • Maintain and promote a strong culture of fun, accomplishment, and continuous learning.
  • Provide strong leadership with a high level of drive, initiative and assertiveness.
  • Mentor developers and onboard new employees.
  • Work with architects, subject matter experts, and management to design and build software applications.
  • Manage competing priorities, and avoid spinning in place; know how to push forward to deliver against the roadmap.
  • Ensure high standards are adhered to throughout development including but not limited to code quality, security, resilience, and performance.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside defined roles to achieve business goals.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Eligibility to establish and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proven team leadership.
  • A positive can-do attitude that is able to identify obstacles to achieving a goal and determine alternative approaches.
  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues.
  • More than 5 years of experience in full stack development with experience in Python, AWS, and expertise in JavaScript UI frameworks (examples: REACT, ANGULAR, NODE).
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment and services.
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs.
  • More than 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies and have experience running ceremonies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide audience.
  • Ability to partner and lead with people across the company in solving complex business needs.
  • Solid experience in building high-performance services.
  • Concise and authoritative reporting on complex technical issues and situations with the ability to write user stories for development.
  • Desire to experiment with new technologies, architectures, and approaches.
Desirable additional experience:
  • Experience with GitLab.
  • Experience with graph databases.
  • Experience of information security regulations and measures.
  • Experience with game development technologies and architecture.
  • Experience with any of the following: TYPESCRIPT, PIXI.JS, RUST.
  • Experience working in the defense industry.
  • Experience with deployment of applications into a cloud environment.
Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a similar discipline.
