What We Do

Our mission is to help users govern their websites. We provide an automated platform that scans millions of web pages every day to perform deep analysis and validation of the world's highest traffic websites.

Have you ever browsed a website only to find broken links, unexpected trackers, questionable privacy behavior, or slow pages? At ObservePoint, we make it our business to find these problems and report them to our customers, so they can deliver an excellent web experience for their users.

Who are our customers? Hundreds of the biggest brands in the world: Adobe, Asics, HP Enterprise, Pepsico, Texas Instruments, and US Bank (just to name a few).

ObservePoint Engineering

We are a small team of engineers who love the web. We are fans of continuous deployment, serverless architecture, automation, and modern technologies.

Hybrid Remote

We work in a hybrid remote and in-person environment. On Wednesdays, we ask product & engineering team members to work in person and enjoy the provided lunch at our Pleasant Grove office. This arrangement gives us a good blend of in-person collaboration time and deep, uninterrupted work time. We believe both are important for engineering teams to do their best work.

Internship - The Job You'll Be Doing

If you join us, you'll work as an intern for this summer working on our Chrome extension which is used by thousands of users to analyze their web pages. The extension is written in TypeScript and uses the Angular framework for the front-end. See the extension here:

For this internship, you will add several valuable features to the extension and release it to the world. We will provide a mentor to guide you through the process. A QA team member will validate your work, and a fellow engineer will review your code.

You'll be expected to work independently with help, but not a lot of handholding. The most successful candidates are able to make progress without needing much guidance.

Qualifications
  • Computer science student in your 3rd or 4th year at a reputable University.
  • Some experience with TypeScript and Angular would be great, but not required. The ideal candidate is willing to ramp up on these technologies.
  • Ideal candidates will be familiar with the web platform, specifically browser cookie APIs.
  • The ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
