About the RoleImpact you will make As a Software Engineer Intern at FinThrive, you will be instrumental in the modernization of our claims product suite. Your contributions will enhance the functionality and security of our applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the healthcare finance industry. By participating in our agile teams, you will gain hands-on experience in software development at scale, directly impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions.
What you will do - Modernize existing backend services to align with contemporary microservice architectures.
- Update and enhance our DevOps pipelines using Docker files and Helm charts to streamline deployment processes.
- Implement enhancements to web user interfaces with the latest versions of Angular, improving usability and aesthetics.
- Apply security best practices to identify and remedy vulnerabilities within the product codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in the modernized codebase, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Travel required: minimal, limited to a 4-day in-person orientation at FinThrive headquarters in Plano, TX.
What you will bring - Experience in programming with C or Java, with a strong grasp of software development principles.
- Proficiency in web development, particularly using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Understanding of client-server interaction models and related protocols like HTTP, REST, TCP/IP, gRCP, and SOAP.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve code issues as well as software installation challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
