Duties and responsibilities: - Design and develop software in C which interacts with LabVIEW.
- Develop requirements with a cross-functional team to define the behavior of the system.
- Triage defects, develop software unit tests, and review the testing team's software verification protocols.
- Analyze the software for failure modes and develop solutions that mitigate risk.
- Contribute updates to your team's software documentation and architecture.
- Improve the quality of your team's software through design reviews, and ensure your work complies with the procedures of the organization's quality management system.
- Join an Agile Scrum team that collaboratively plans sprints, improves the quality of the team's backlog of tickets, and defines and completes tasks.
- Perform other project tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of computer science, including how embedded systems, operating systems, and compilation work
- Experience developing software in C/C , including experience with object-oriented and functional programming.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build consensus and establish common goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and eagerness to acquire new knowledge.
- Proficiency in collaborating across departments, including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Quality teams.
- Self-motivated individual adept at completing assignments promptly.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with statistics and statistical tools is advantageous.
- Good understanding of LabVIEW software development.
Other: - Prior medical device industry experience is preferred, but not required.
