Duties and responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software in C which interacts with LabVIEW.
  • Develop requirements with a cross-functional team to define the behavior of the system.
  • Triage defects, develop software unit tests, and review the testing team's software verification protocols.
  • Analyze the software for failure modes and develop solutions that mitigate risk.
  • Contribute updates to your team's software documentation and architecture.
  • Improve the quality of your team's software through design reviews, and ensure your work complies with the procedures of the organization's quality management system.
  • Join an Agile Scrum team that collaboratively plans sprints, improves the quality of the team's backlog of tickets, and defines and completes tasks.
  • Perform other project tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of computer science, including how embedded systems, operating systems, and compilation work
  • Experience developing software in C/C , including experience with object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build consensus and establish common goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and eagerness to acquire new knowledge.
  • Proficiency in collaborating across departments, including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Quality teams.
  • Self-motivated individual adept at completing assignments promptly.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with statistics and statistical tools is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of LabVIEW software development.
Other:
  • Prior medical device industry experience is preferred, but not required.
