About the Role - (API/Mulesoft SME) or Software Engineer

Responsibilities -
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance integration solutions using MuleSoft and API technologies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and develop appropriate solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Develop integration strategies that enable system interoperability and ensure smooth data exchange between various applications, platforms, and cloud-based services.
- Design and manage APIs (RESTful, SOAP, etc.) using MuleSoft API Gateway to expose and consume services securely and efficiently.
- Implement API security policies such as OAuth, JWT, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Monitor, test, and optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead the development and implementation of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring best practices for reusability and scalability.
- Develop MuleSoft connectors for various enterprise systems and third-party applications to ensure smooth and efficient data transfers.
- Ensure that MuleSoft ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) solutions align with business requirements and technical constraints.
- Work with Anypoint Studio to create integration flows, transformation logic, and error handling procedures.
- Continuously monitor the performance of integrations and identify areas for optimization in terms of speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for integration-related issues and provide expert advice on the best integration practices and strategies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive integration documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in integration technologies, particularly MuleSoft, API management, and cloud integration.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration, with a strong background in API management and MuleSoft.
- Proven expertise in integrating systems using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule ESB, Anypoint Studio, and Mule connectors.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing APIs (RESTful, SOAP), including API security and versioning strategies.
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, data transformation, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integrating cloud-based applications.
- Proficiency in Java and MuleSoft-specific languages (DataWeave).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in the context of integration.
- Knowledge of integration tools and technologies such as JMS, MQ, SOAP, REST, and File Transfer Protocols.
- Ability to collaborate with business units to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with business objectives.
- Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, drive integration projects, and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex integration solutions and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve integration issues efficiently.
Desirable Skills
- MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Architect certification.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture and integration of microservices using MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
