Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to establish a common small-based platform for highly mobile, unmanned robotic systems. This role involves designing systems for quick reconfiguration of various missions by adding or removing modules or payloads. You will be responsible for software development following organizational standard software processes, managing requirement specifications, and developing functions based on said requirements. You will also design software following defined architectures, develop and debug the build process, follow configuration management, and interface with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Establish a common small-based platform for highly mobile, unmanned robotic systems.
  • Design systems for quick reconfiguration of various missions by adding or removing modules or payloads.
  • Perform software development following organizational standard software processes.
  • Manage requirement specifications and develop functions based on said requirements.
  • Design software following defined architectures.
  • Develop and debug the build process.
  • Follow configuration management protocols.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in C .
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite.
  • Proficiency in QT and other UI toolkits.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Google Test.
  • Experience with Bitbucket.
  • Strong experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with VM environments such as VMWare, VM setup and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Development.
  • Familiarity with modeling concepts, SysML, Enterprise Architect, or MagicDraw.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with systems lab, Jasmine, Wireshark, and video streaming.
  • Familiarity with government engineering teams and working towards common goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other primes/subcontractors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (BSCE), Computer Science (BSCS), or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited university.
  • Must hold a secret level security clearance.
Work Environment

The work will be located primarily at Selfridge Airforce Base in Harrison Twp, MI. The role requires on-site presence every day. This is a great opportunity to work on a high-visibility military vehicle program that is currently in theater, offering a great work/life balance with minimal if any hours over 40 per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $72.12/hr.
