A leading professional networking company is seeking a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will develop and operate mission-critical services and applications that are used by customers and employees worldwide. The ideal candidate has two years of experience with Ember JS. The company offers a great work environment.

Software Engineer Pay and Benefits:
Hourly pay: $60-$85/hr (Pay varies based on the candidate's experience and location)
Worksite: Leading professional development and networking company (New York City, NY 10118 - Hybrid, Open to remote candidates in the United States and located in the Eastern time zone, May consider candidates in Central and Mountain Time, Must work Eastern time office hours, Candidates in New York City are preferred)
W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment

Software Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions.
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed meeting our standards for quality software engineering.
Design and ship a high volume of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability, and testability issues.
Maintain an understanding of the latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services.
Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services.
Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers.
Contribute towards the definition of product and technical roadmaps.

Software Engineer Qualifications:
5+ years of web development experience.
2 years of experience with Ember JS.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with TypeScript is preferred.
Experience with any object-oriented programming (Java, C ) is preferred.
Experience developing mobile applications is a bonus.
Proven track record of leading the development of web applications (Javascript).
Familiarity with Figma or other design software is preferred.
Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC) is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and the technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems is preferred.
Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, are preferred.
Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred.

Shift:
Eastern time office hours (Ideally 10 am to 6 pm, but flexible for 9 am to 5 pm).
