Job Summary:
A state-of-the-art steel processing facility near Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Software Engineer to support Level 2 process automation systems within our rolling mill operations. This position plays a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting industrial automation applications to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support process automation applications for Hot Strip Mill and Cold Roll Mill operations.
  • Design and implement software systems, HMI interfaces, and database structures.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and end users to test and deploy automation solutions.
  • Perform software code reviews to maintain consistency and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and customizations to existing automation platforms.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integration and operational support.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with:
    • C , C , SQL
    • HMI systems (WinCC, Wonderware)
    • Relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in process manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with cold rolling mill operations.
