Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Bone and Metabolic Health business. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems that power our diagnostic imaging and data analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical experts, product managers, and engineers, to deliver user-friendly, high-performance software that enhances the diagnosis and management of bone and metabolic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and test software for BMH products, including imaging systems, user interfaces, and data processing algorithms.
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate clinical needs into technical solutions.
- Ensure software compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA standards, and maintain high standards of security and performance.
- Optimize software for scalability, reliability, and seamless integration with GE Healthcare's diagnostic platforms.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, providing timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in BMH solutions.
- Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications to support product development and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C , Python, Java, or C .
- Experience with software development frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Git).
- Familiarity with medical imaging technologies (e.g., DXA, DICOM) or healthcare IT standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and database management is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience developing software for bone densitometry, body composition analysis, or related medical applications.
- Understanding of clinical workflows in diagnostic imaging or metabolic health.
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of FDA, CE, or ISO standards.
