We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining a Tableau-based Data Analysis Environment for calibration-related function development. The primary focus will be to program an existing tool within a new software environment to enable generic, company-wide usage, including maintenance programs. This role requires collaboration with software tool development engineers and technical experts to ensure the new software tool meets the engineering teams' requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and maintain software tool solutions for more effective vehicle testing, development analysis, and reporting.
- Create and maintain individual R/D-testing data analysis reports for powertrain development teams.
- Evaluate faults and lead problem-solving activities, including first-level analysis and collaboration with technical experts.
- Support internal Key Process Indicators to monitor current status and help forecast future requirements.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvements for both internal and external processes.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Tableau, Python, and SQL.
- Knowledge of current automobile technology, vehicle electrical systems, and onboard diagnostics.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, SQL, MATLAB, and MS Excel VBA.
- Understanding of database programming, data structures, algorithms, testing procedures, and debugging.
- Project management skills with the ability to control projects from conceptualization to implementation.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills, with experience in an intercultural environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive industry setting.
- Analytic or systems engineering knowledge for troubleshooting data-logger equipment and database systems.
- Soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, time management, and emotional intelligence.
- Organization and leadership abilities to manage workflows within the Tech Center and with external partners.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position where you will be working with cutting-edge AMG technology. The role involves developing an internal Data Analysis tool to be used throughout the entire company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
