Software Engineer

Role Overview

You will be developing the company's production trading systems and data pipelines that support our machine learning models in both production and research environments. Collaboration with research and trading teams is essential to meet diverse requirements and complex trading behaviors.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain real-time distributed trading systems that execute orders based on our machine learning models.
2. Design and optimize large-scale data processing systems for historical and real-time ML feature pipelines.
3. Enhance the resilience and performance of trading and data processing systems.
4. Build tools to integrate and validate data from multiple vendors, ensuring consistency and reliability.
5. Take ownership of technical projects, collaborating closely with research and trading teams to deliver effective solutions following best engineering practices.

Minimum Requirements

1. 3-6 years of software engineering experience building robust and scalable systems.
2. Experience operating and scaling mission-critical systems in Python or other languages (Go, C , R a plus).
3. Good communication and project management skills in complex technical domains.
4. A track record of leading individual or small projects with limited supervision.
5. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience or interest in mentoring junior engineers.
2. Familiarity with data-centric workflows and pipeline orchestration (e.g., Apache Airflow).
3. Proficiency in data validation, anomaly detection, or debugging using tools like Pandas, Polars, or data.table/R.
4. Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
5. Knowledge of building and monitoring high-performance, concurrent services.
