Job Description Summary

This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven, pro-active individual to join the Enterprise Risk Platform Prudential and Analytics platform within the Strategic and Run lab as a Software Engineer.

The engineer will work within a "scrum team" as part of the prudential and analytics lab, responsible for code development and testing within the lab and critically ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect.

The engineer will support planning, running, and coordinating the technical delivery, involving alignment to governance controls, planning of activities, communication, and engagement across the business teams and lab.

  • Hours: 35 hours, full time
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
  • Work in a feature team within the Prudential & Analytics Platform to deliver high-quality software and support team members.
  • Contribute to analysis, design, and development of software solutions, including migration to cloud.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and collaborate with wider teams to deliver solutions using best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers to migrate models onto the bank's platform and improve existing models for better insights.
  • Mentor and support engineers, build relationships across the bank, and work in an agile environment.
  • Work with the Product Owner to evaluate complex proposals and stay updated on industry developments.

What you'll need
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk modelling.
  • Experience in Python, SQL, and model migration using MERIT.
  • Understanding of testing, version control, and agile processes.
  • Mentoring skills and experience with collaboration tools.
