Software Engineer for a
Contract job with a client in
Riverwoods, IL. You will drive TDD practices, design units, integration, and functional tests, and collaborate on building scalable microservices with modern architectures.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Engineer job responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable microservices using Java, SpringBoot, and Kafka.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end technologies, such as React JS, with back-end services.
- Designing and implementing APIs and working with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Managing the deployment pipeline using CI/CD tools, ensuring smooth DevOps processes.
- Working with cloud platforms like AWS to deploy and maintain services in a cloud environment.
- Ensuring application performance, reliability, and security through thorough testing and optimization.
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java, SpringBoot, and Microservices development.
- Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD) and experience with Java Microservices architecture.
- Experience with front-end technologies, particularly React JS, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
