Job Title: Software Engineer (Java)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance Requirements: DoD Secret

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer specializing in Java to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for complex problem resolution, designing and developing software solutions, testing, integration, and providing robust user support for a significant existing codebase.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex problem resolution, including debugging, analysis, and system improvement.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions in alignment with detailed specifications.
• Provide user support and troubleshoot issues within the existing code baseline.
• Collaborate with other system support teams to resolve problems, set standards, and enhance system efficiency.
• Develop automation tools to streamline system operations and workflows.
• Assist in benchmarking, debugging, and thorough documentation of software applications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active DoD Final Secret Clearance required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development best practices and coding standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including performance analysis and root-cause identification.

Desired Skills:

• Agile methodology experience.
• Familiarity with Java Spring framework.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with common development tools: Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse.
• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, STIG compliance, and Fortify vulnerability mitigation.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices in containerized environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Security Clearance: This position requires an active Secret-level government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens to qualify.
