Software Engineer

Primary Responsibilities Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Design, develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of missile defense systems
Participate in sprint and increment testing to validate software
Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment
Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologies
Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skill sets
Mentor junior level software engineers and developers
Ability to create software solutions from established industry standards
Work within System Engineering Team to schedule, synchronize and execute demonstration capabilities to customers
Work with third-party contractors and stakeholders to coordinate and synchronize work integration
Basic Qualifications: Masters degree with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience coding in C and Java
Experience developing micro-services and working with containerization
Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion
Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans
Preferred Qualifications Currently possess a Secret clearance
Experience with missile warning and missile warning defense
Experience in algorithm development and testing
Understanding of missile warning message types
Experience with the Agile software development process IAW USG defined requirements Original Posting: March 24, 2025
