Maxar is looking for a Software Engineer to join an agile and fast-paced development team creating software to support operational needs around the world. Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance applications and services to exceed our customer expectations. This includes full lifecycle development and ownership of the entire requirement/solution.
- Foster and support the ongoing growth and practices of agile development within the organization.
- Collaborate with teammates. To us, this means being a good listener and bringing an attitude that creates an environment where innovative ideas flourish.
- Participate in the requirements analysis and design for software applications or sub-components.
- Code or maintain software applications or sub-components from specifications.
- Follow established software development process.
- Create appropriate process artifacts including: requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans.
- Test applications as identified in the development methodology, and create necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications: - Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for SECRET security clearance
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline. 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with Object Oriented software development theory and associated methodologies
- Good understanding of coding methods and best practices
- 3 years of related experience in Software Development.
- Strong C or Java programming skills.
- Must be willing to work on-site.
Desired Qualifications: - Excellent Math and Physics skills
- Agile software development lifecycle experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.
- JavaScript/React/Vue experience.
- Proficiency with database tools such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$71,000.00 - $152,000.00 annually.
