(3 days Hybrid) Duration: 4+ months (Possible extension) Pay Range: $75 - $80 per hour on W2 Job Summary: As a Production Innovation Lab Engineer within the dynamic Entertainment Television sector, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of episodic television by leveraging cutting-edge technologies. This position is centered on integrating and showcasing innovative production technologies, making the Entertainment Television Production Innovation Lab a hands-on showcase for the latest advancements in the TV industry. You will collaborate closely with teams to develop and refine demonstration materials, ensuring seamless functionality and quality presentation of the innovation lab's offerings. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the quality and compatibility of A/V demonstration materials, assessing and packaging them for presentations. Develop and build technology demos showcasing advanced production tools and systems. Facilitate collaborations with the client and external vendor partners for technology integration. Engage in coding and configuring AI-powered tools and systems for demo material preparation. Oversee and maintain the demos for optimal functionality, troubleshoot technological issues, and manage updates and upgrades. Must have skills: 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally working on interactive toolsets, such as those used in museum exhibits, attractions, or showrooms. Versatile developer, proficient across a variety of languages/frameworks (C , Python, C , React, AppleScript, etc). Familiarity with and able to author plugins for standard filmmaking applications (Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Avid, Premiere, etc). Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal). Comfortable interfacing with specialty hardware, such as AR/VR devices, touch screens, microcontrollers, etc. Ability to code on and automate within a variety of operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). Good sense of UX and human interface design. Familiarity with Generative AI, AI-driven workflows, leveraging LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and automation frameworks. Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their tradeoffs, including model selection and optimization techniques. Basic proficiency with machine learning library capabilities, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and prediction. Industry Experience Required: Experience in the television or entertainment production industry is highly preferable, with a focus on technology application and innovation within the sector.
