Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with deep expertise in Walmart systems to support an international markets Business Tech Acceleration merchandising domain. The role involves hands-on technical work, creating detailed documentation, analyzing code, job flows, and business logic, and facilitating knowledge transfer (KT) to China development teams.

Responsibilities:

Technical Analysis: Analyze legacy China merchandising systems, including code, job flows, and business logic, to develop comprehensive documentation.

Documentation Creation: Build detailed documentation for legacy systems and current as-is flows, ensuring thorough understanding and accuracy.

Knowledge Transfer: Provide high-quality KT to China development teams, explaining documentation, answering questions, and following up on inquiries.

System Interaction Analysis: Examine interactions between Walmart global systems and local China systems to ensure complete and accurate documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal SMEs and vendor partners to accelerate the documentation process and ensure high-quality KT.

Meetings and Communication: Assist in meetings with China teams to explain documentation and address any questions or concerns.

Innovative Solutions: Develop out-of-the-box solutions for accelerating the KT process and ensuring thorough and high-quality documentation.

Skills and Requirements

Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably with expertise in Walmart systems.

Strong understanding of Walmart global and local merchandising systems.

Can easily read and understand code.

Ability to analyze complex systems and translate technical information into clear, concise documentation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Item File experience at Walmart

Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is highly desirable.

Familiarity with AI tools and their application in documentation processes. null
