Software Engineer III will join the
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team within the Texas Health and Human Services IT Administrative Applications division. This role is key to designing, developing, and supporting automation solutions that streamline internal processes. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of RPA initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams.
Please note: Hiring managers strongly prefer candidates with prior experience working within the same department or a similar Texas HHS IT environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define functional and technical requirements
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support RPA solutions end-to-end
- Monitor and maintain RPA scripts, proactively improving performance and reliability
- Lead development and enhancement of scalable, efficient, and high-performing automated workflows
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure stability and quality in production environments
Minimum Requirements: - 8+ years of hands-on RPA development experience
- At least 4 years with Blue Prism specifically
- 8+ years working with SQL/NoSQL databases
- 8+ years of experience with RESTful web services
Preferred Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in one or more programming languages: C , Java, or Python
- Strong background in process discovery , requirements gathering , and solution architecture
- Proficient in web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, DOM , and the HTTP protocol
- Experience with JDBC API development
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure , including QA and troubleshooting
