We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. Description The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing- intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Software architecture and design planning DevOps or sustainment/life-cycle management of system-operational software or services Telemetry data Implementing and documenting dataflow or system-telemetry pipeline Dara movement and volume estimations Linux, Linux tools, Bash scripting Programming in Python Supports work across teams to write or enable queries for specialized metrics collection products and ensure that system performance is maintained Leadership skills and/or experience with leading an effort Communicative, collaborative, and organized Familiar with and able to perform full software-development lifecycle support with version-control tools (Git, GitLab) Works independently, as well as with a team, to ensure that all components are functioning properly Will stay abreast of latest industry trends in both open source and commercial metrics and monitoring solutions. Supports determination of if-and-when to incorporate them into an IaC solution Willing to and able to learn new tools and protocols Recommended Skills and Experience Splunk, Elastic, syslog-ng, ryslog, Kafka, Logstash, and/or Ansible Message brokers and data movement tools Data analysis Qualifications An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. The projected compensation range for this position is $200K - $250K. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
