The Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, documentation, verification, and validation of software used for evaluating, testing, and processing data acquisition systems. The candidate will travel to secured locations to integrate the software into hardware and participate in technical reviews, design analysis, and development of mission-critical software and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, verify, and validate software for data acquisition systems.
- Travel to secured locations to test and integrate software with hardware.
- Perform technical reviews and design analysis.
- Develop and select hardware and mission-critical software.
Essential Skills
- C or C coding experience.
- Experience with Linux.
- Networking protocol knowledge.
- Full life cycle software development.
- Active secret clearance.
- Software development and embedded systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BS CS).
- Experience integrating software onto hardware.
- Ability to develop, test, and document software code.
- Support installation into higher level assembly.
Work Environment
The role involves working onsite with a team of 3-4 software engineers and traveling up to 50% of the time to secured locations for testing and integration. The work supports classified programs on a national level within the maritime industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
