As a Software Engineer III, Python/Machine Learning Skills at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector-Corporate Technology Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will partner with team members across the full lifecycle of the team's AI/ML projects, helping to solve complex engineering problems from the research stage through to production implementation. Job responsibilities - Provides design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously within appropriate systems
- Researches the business problems and apply ML / AI solutions to effectively address the business needs
- Designs, implements, trains and deploys machine learning solutions to address business demands in unconventional ways
- Implements various model metrics and validation measures to validate and measure the behavior of ML models
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Collaborates with stakeholders in cross-projects and team settings to identify and clarify business or product questions to answer
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proven programming skills using Python and numerical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, SciPy, Torch, Tensorflow, etc.
- Hands on experience of working with classification and regression models including Deep Neural Networks models
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, algorithms, math concepts and its uses
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience with relational database systems such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Demonstrated relevant experience within tech or financial industries
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced group that has several concurrent projects
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Strong Python skills and track record of successful delivery of large scale projects
- Experience working with AWS services
- Solid understanding of AI/ML models, including previous experience with deep learning frameworks
- Experience working with a variety of data formats, including natural language, image, and time series data
