Title: Software Engineer III
Location: remote
Duration: 12+ month contract
Compensation: $68.00 - 88.00/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Job Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain software components, following our software engineering processes to design, develop, document, review, test, inspect, and release code.
Implement the frontend (in React) and backend (in PHP or Python) of new features.
Execute and complete tasks with minimal supervision applying your judgment and problem-solving skills.
Attend project meetings and work as part of a project team to coordinate software development and determine project scope and limitations.
Modify existing databases and database management systems.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Skills: - 3 - 5 years of software development experience
- Javascript and experience with web application
- python or PHP experience
- background in AI building tools (nice to have)
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
- Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Education/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
