Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join our team of passionate individuals in Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission.
Your Impact: As a SWE3, you will develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in the Linux (Red Hat version 7+) environment. You will work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated fast-paced environment using leading technologies.
Responsibilities: - Develop analytics for survey and intelligence value assessments.
- Provide software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
Requirements: - Experience with Java MapReduce, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop Hive, Pig, Etc.
- Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
- Experience with serialization such as JSON and/or BSON; developing restful services; and using source code management tools.
- Experience developing software solution using Python
Clearance Required: TS/SCI w Poly
Minimum Education: - Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience or Master's degree in plus 6-years of relevant experience.
- An Associate's degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plusComputer Science (CS) degree or related field
Minimum Years of Experience: - 12-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position

The base salary range for this position is
$160K to $195K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
