Software Development Manager Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our Full Stack development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. The position requires to be On-Site in either St. Louis, MO or Springfield, VA Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship
Oversee the development of software applications using modern technical stacks
Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions using AWS services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure software development best practices are followed, including coding standards, testing, and deployment
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
Identify and mitigate technical risks, and develop strategies for improvement Qualifications: Required: Active Top Secret Clearance
8+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years of management experience
Strong technical expertise in modern technical stacks (e.g., Angular, Node.js, React, etc.)
Expertise in web development , with focus on JavaScript based technologies
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with AWS services, including deployment, management, and security
Proven experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
Proven leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and guide a team
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex technical issues
Requires to be On-Site in either St. Louis, MO or Springfield, VA Desired: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies beyond AWS
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML) - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
