The iWork team is looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background with productivity apps to contribute to the development of innovative tools for creative professionals. It requires a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical and analytic skills and passion for new technologies including in automation and machine learning.

Description

We are looking for a talented individual who will develop, drive, and deliver scalable test automation solutions. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop mission-critical test solutions that directly impact the quality of our consumer facing applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and executing end-end test cases manually and through automation using Swift and Python. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. Your ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in the unique features and workflows of Keynote, Numbers, Pages, and Freeform apps as well as new testing techniques is what will set you apart. You will be working closely with other team members to help coordinate multi-functional test efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3+ years of experience in SQE methodologies and practices
  • Proficient in one or more compiled languages, such as Swift, Objective-C, or Java
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python
  • Comfortable with Unix commands and experience writing shell scripts
  • Proficient in resolving complex failures using advanced debugging techniques
  • A strong understanding of unit, integration, and regression test methodologies
  • Experience delivering software projects from beginning to end
  • Experience working with Apple devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
  • Proven ability to gather and handle complex requirements and draft technical specifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across many participating teams
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent, or 4+ years of applicable experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with macOS/iOS development
  • Experience using Apple's automation framework: XCTest, XCUI
  • Experience working in DevOps engineering organization
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • We seek a self-starter with leadership capabilities
  • Experience in Machine Learning and the relevant tool stack is a plus
Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
