The Amazon FSx for Lustre engineering team is expanding, and we need your expertise to enhance the fastest cloud storage solutions available on AWS.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a rapidly growing business with over a million active customers across 190 countries. Our robust code handles millions of requests per second with sub-second latency and fault tolerance. Launched in November 2018, Amazon FSx for Lustre simplifies the process of launching high-performance file systems in the cloud. Within minutes, you can provision a Lustre parallel file system capable of processing massive datasets at throughput speeds of hundreds of gigabytes per second and sub-millisecond latencies. Our diverse customers range from genomics to machine learning and financial analysis; they rely on us for compute-intensive solutions.

As an engineer on the Amazon FSx for Lustre team, you will:
  • Design, build, and maintain petabyte-scale distributed file systems.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to solve challenging problems in distributed systems, systems programming, and networking.
  • Mentor junior engineers to foster their growth.
  • Contribute positively to an inclusive and fun team culture.
A typical day involves utilizing the latest serverless and virtualization technologies to create distributed systems at the scale of AWS. You will tackle complex challenges to enable customers across various sectors, from AI/ML to media and entertainment to HPC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
