Your Responsibilities in the role:
  • Designand develop business, application, data, and infrastructure solutions,seek opportunities to optimize performance, maintain and troubleshootapplication components as required in the cloud.
  • Designand develop with consideration for Non-Functional Requirements(Scalability, Reliability, Availability, Observability, Fault Tolerance,Security, and Maintainability).
  • Writewell designed, non-complex, testable, efficient code.
  • Developtest case design, perform test case execution, and work with product teamsto resolve identified issues
  • Useand contribute to the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliveryprocess
  • Havethe continuous improvement mindset on all areas of development anddeployment.
  • Createsystem documentation/playbook(s) and serve as technical reviewer andcontributor in requirements, design, and code review
  • Be akey voice in technical initiatives and projects requiring integration ofcross-functional systems.
  • Collaboratewith developers across multiple products to build consensus on creation ofreusable application components.
  • Aidand cover for other team members where required, including troubleshootingand maintenance of production systems/programs/applications.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of SoftwareDevelopment experience in Java
  • Knowledge of relational databasessuch as Oracle, NoSQL databases and web service development standards andpractices, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOA services.
  • Expert in Functional Programmingapproaches, preferably in Java
  • Experience withmicroservices
  • Cloud-native development in theSpring/Spring Boot ecosystem and strong working knowledge of developing anddeploying applications in major cloud providers (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience in cloud managedservices and DB (RDS, NoSQL/DynamoDB, serverless, etc.)
  • Have implemented code coverage,code complexity, code quality.
  • Considering Observability,Monitoring, Logging, and Tracing as part of development leveraging managedservices like AWS CloudWatch, Jeger, Kiali and Dynatrace etc.
  • Experience with Test DrivenDevelopment, exposure to Behavior Driven Development
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologiesand experience working in an agile development environment using workloadmanagement tools like VersionOne.
  • Experience with systemintegrations, optimizing performance and data integrity.
  • Passion for driving continuousimprovement.
  • Proactive and able to quickly pickup new technologies.
  • Strong technical and non-technicalcommunication skills. Assures smooth flowing, timely transmission of criticalinformation.
  • Excellent judgment andproblem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolve problems in a calmand quick manner and display a high degree of initiative and drive.
  • Consistently prioritizes safetyand security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking,and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma,GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age andhas authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies(preferably AWS) and application migration to cloud
  • AWS Certified Developer -Associate
  • Experience in Containers,Kubernetes, Docker and frameworks like OpenShift.
  • Experience with automation andtest tools (Postman, Mockito, SonarQube)
  • Experience with test drivendevelopment
  • Bachelors degree, or equivalentwork experience.
