Delaware Nation Industries/Indigenous Technologies works with AFLCMC located at Tinker AFB, OK to provide remote support to the Air Force's Core Engine Maintenance System. We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to support the Core Engine Maintenance System (CEMS) Program Management Office (PMO) within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Propulsion Integration Division (AFLCMC/LPZ). The DevOps Engineer will support CI/CD pipeline development, containerized deployments, automated testing, and sustainment of mission-critical Air Force systems.

The ability to obtain a security clearance is REQUIRED.

A Security+ Certification is REQUIRED.

This position is 100% remote.
  • Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) architecture, container deployments, and serverless architecture solutions for CEMS.
  • Collaborate with Software Systems Engineers and Oracle database administrators to support sustainment activities, operating system updates, and changes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Web Services API for CEMS applications.
  • Enable and maintain the CI/CD DevSecOps pipeline by automating software builds, deployments, security scans, and testing processes.
  • Implement automated static code analysis and security scans using approved tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, AppScan, and AppDetectivePro.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to support daily DevOps tasks and agile development processes.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD automation tools and processes in compliance with BES and CEMS development standards.
  • Support application deployments across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Ensure high system functionality, availability, reliability, maintainability, auditability, and responsiveness to exceed 99% system availability for the Air Force propulsion community.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to integrate DevOps best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or related role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with automated code quality and security scanning tools (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube, AppScan).
  • Knowledge of web services API design, implementation, and sustainment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Air Force Core Engine Maintenance System (CEMS) or other DoD systems.
  • Experience with Oracle database environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Knowledge of BES CI/CD requirements and processes.
