Software Developer / Engineer with Security Clearance

Description The Intelligence Carry-On Program (ICOP) is part of the Navy Service component of the Department of Defense (DoD) Distributed Common Ground System - Navy (DCGS-N) Family of Systems, providing Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) processing, exploitation and dissemination capabilities to Unit Level platforms and ashore forces. The Software Engineer will be a member of the ICOP team focusing on developing services and applications in a DevSecOps based environment. The ideal candidate will have a history of direct involvement with successful software development, testing and sustainment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications Writing clean, efficient, and scalable highly re-usable code Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions Self-directing research including: decomposition of existing systems and design of new systems and configurations Researching and recommending innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration and integration tasks Requirements Must possess an active Secret clearance Minimum of five plus (5+) years of software development experience Coding experience in one or more of the following: Java C C HTML5 Python Strong experience developing/integrating RESTful APIs Experience with CI/CD pipeline common tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, BitBucket or similar) and practices Strong experience with multi-threaded, asynchronous or event driven code Experience with source control applications such as Git or SVN Must currently hold a DoDM 8140.03 IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months Desired Skills Must currently hold a DoDM 8140.03 IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY Travel Requirements No Travel Required About Us Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
