Software Dev Engineer

Primary Skills: Golang (Expert), Python (Proficient), Event logging (Proficient), Windows Registry (Intermediate), WMI (Intermediate). Contract Type: W2 Duration: 6 Months with possible extension Location: Herndon, VA Pay Range: $62.00 - $68.00 Per Hour Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and enhancing windows services, troubleshooting, and debugging internally developed code, as well as contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with other engineers to develop software solutions, automate support processes, and document system operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance windows services using Golang and Python. Deep dive into troubleshooting/debugging code and system issues. Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Work on automation of support processes and system documentation. Collaborate with team members on software development and enhancement. Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in Golang and Python. Experience with Windows Event Logging and Windows registry. Ability to work with WMI and Event Tracing for Windows (ETW). Industry Experience: A solid foundation in computer science or a related technical field is required, with 3-5 years of relevant experience for level II roles and 6-12 years for level III roles. Experience in developing services for Windows systems is essential. Prior experience in a similar domain would be advantageous.
