Day to Day:
  • Building integration from scratch for the integration for Automated Box Cutter between the machine and the cloud
  • Code that will be executed will be using JAVA, one or two that will also be working with Kotlin
  • Owning infrastructure for creating components within AWS
  • DynamoDB database
  • Expecting contractors to work on a design document that is received for the requirements that are received from one of the teammates or stakeholders
  • Figure out where the code needs to go (support from the team along the way)
  • Push code, get reviews, make corrections, and push work into production.
  • Day to day is the same but testing might be unique.
All in all:
  • Reviewing requirements
  • Make sure they have a plan on how to execute the requirements
  • Writing code (JAVA, Kotlin)
  • Pushing CR
  • Getting feedback, testing code, and deploying into production.
Key job responsibilities
As a member of this team, you will get the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact the customer experience. You'll contribute by:

• Developing (with Java and/or Kotlin) in complex software systems that power the sortation and fulfillment operations, ensuring high availability and scalability

• Writing high-quality, well-tested code while adhering to engineering best practices and standards

• Designing and implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, creating maintainable and secure cloud infrastructure

• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues while maintaining system reliability and performance

• Collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for systems and processes

• Contributing to team planning sessions and helping break down complex problems into manageable deliverables
