Job Description:
  • The CloudTune team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will be working on software efficiency programs to reduce builder effort required for capacity assurance.
The ideal candidate must have:
  • 3+ years of software development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes,
  • testing, and operations experience,
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, skilled in design patterns, reliability, and scalability for new and
  • existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects:

Surrounding Team and Key Projects:
  • Will be working on software efficiency programs to reduce builder effort required for capacity assurance.
  • Updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
  • Peak event preparations, Working on infrastructure and Backlog of features around infrastructure
Typical Day in the Role:

Interaction with Team:
  • Majority of team is in Austin some in Seattle, manager in Washington DC
  • Direct team has 8 members on it, working directly with program lead and engineering teams
  • New Worker to pick up on the backlog needed
  • Working alongside development teams and Technical program managers within CloudTune.
Typical Task Breakdown:
  • Design and deploy a robust automation tool to streamline campaign management at scale, eliminating manual processes and boosting operational efficiency across Client teams.
  • Build a mechanism to accurately track transferred capacity within capacity release plans, establishing validation processes to resolve discrepancies, and creating a dynamic mapping system for capacity allocation changes.
  • Enhance safety stock allocation by developing a dynamic, data-driven methodology that adjusts capacity reserves based on historical demand patterns and utilization rates.
  • Develop an automated system to audit capacity orders submitted during peak demand periods, providing real-time insights to optimize resource usage, reduce idle capacity, address late orders, and guarantee availability when it's needed most.
