Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven IBM Software Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities focused on IBM software solutions. The role emphasizes generating new logos and expanding software adoption within existing accounts not currently covered by Account Executives or Client Solution Leads.



Key Responsibilities:

  • IBM Software Sales:
  • Drive new IBM software business across target accounts.
  • Expand software opportunities within current clients not actively managed by other team members.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
  • Identify potential clients via outbound strategies, events, referrals, and networking, especially within the IBM ecosystem.
  • Qualify and engage leads through phone, email, and social media outreach.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers.
  • Understand client challenges and present solutions aligned with Prolifics' offerings.
  • Collaboration:
  • Coordinate closely with sales and marketing teams to align messaging and go-to-market efforts.
  • Schedule meetings, presentations, and software demos in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Reporting & CRM Management:
  • Keep accurate and timely records of all client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular status updates on sales activities and pipeline progress.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in software sales or business development, ideally in the enterprise technology space.
  • Familiarity with IBM programs, technologies, and partner ecosystem preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software and digital transformation trends.
