Responsibilities

Be part of our exciting team supporting a robust, world-wide communications network, providing office automation packages; document and information management tools; and collaboration, voice, and video tools in a secure, flexible, distributed architecture supporting a classified DoD IT system.

Peraton is seeking a Software Applications Engineer to provide Automation and Orchestration services for Commercial Off-the-Shelf software products and enterprise system management to include integration services, software repair, and diagnostic testing for all system software and layered products.

Responsibilities include:
    Creating and implementing software applications, often collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional software.
  • Thoroughly testing applications to identify and resolve bugs and ensure they perform as intended.
  • Ensuring the continued functionality and performance of applications through updates, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Providing technical support to users and clients, addressing issues and questions related to the software.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful application development and deployment.
  • Improving the overall functionality of software applications by analyzing customer feedback, sales data, and other relevant information.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages and software development methodologies. i.e., PowerShell, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python
  • Software Architecture: Understanding of software architecture principles and best practices.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to software applications.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for software applications.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 4 years additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Experience in software engineering and integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf software products
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification
Desired:
  • ITIL Foundations certification desired

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
