Job Summary
The LCSW delivers mental and behavioral health services to patients under an Integrated Behavioral Health program. The duties will include mental health/substance abuse assessment, integrated health care screenings, brief solution-focused therapy, referral, and support services. Services will be provided to clients, families, and others from diverse backgrounds.
Education/Experience Required
- Master s degree in Social Work from a university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and possession of a current Clinical Social Worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Familiarity with integrated behavioral health models within a community healthcare system; experience practicing in such a setting preferred.
- Experience in short-term, evidence-based, solution-focused counseling; creation of treatment plans; psychosocial assessment; individual therapy; group therapy; cognitive-behavioral therapy; motivational interviewing; trauma-informed care; and crisis intervention.
- Knowledge of psychiatric, psychosocial, ethical, legal and privacy issues; substance misuse/abuse and chemical dependency assessment and treatment; understanding of current insurance benefits and restrictions in the area of mental health; knowledgeable of DSM-V; and treatment issues concerning adolescents and minors.
- Knowledge and understanding of human behavior and communication, psychotherapy, case management, and the influence of cultural and spiritual values in counseling practice
