This role is essential in supporting early childhood development, with a focus on promoting healthy parent-child relationships and fostering the emotional, social, and developmental well-being of infants and young children under three. The Senior Specialist will collaborate with healthcare teams to implement strategies for early childhood growth, integrating family-centered mental health support into primary care.
The Senior Specialist will evaluate the developmental and social well-being of infants and young children (under three years old) within a clinical setting, providing expert guidance on early childhood growth, parent-child bonding, and family systems. Additionally, the role includes delivering specialized care, such as play therapy or dyadic treatment intervention where applicable. Collaboration with healthcare professionals is a crucial part of the position, as the Senior Specialist will work closely with team members to support families, offer insights, and ensure comprehensive documentation in line with program requirements and healthcare standards.
Compensation: $87,130.00
Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Knowledgeable in early childhood growth, parent-child dynamics, early childhood mental health, and family systems theory.
- Experience in evaluating the social well-being and developmental stages of infants and toddlers.
- Play therapy or dyadic treatment intervention experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Licensed Professional in New York State is required (LCSW, PsyD, PhD highly preferred).
